From The Pastor’s Desk

Luke 23:24 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

The last words of a person are many times the most profound. It is a look back at a person’s life and many times declares the purpose of a person’s life. The purpose for Jesus coming to this earth can be wrapped up in these words as He hung on a cruel cross. Jesus came not to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved from their sins. Jesus came to forgive man their sins, if they will turn to accept His atonement on the cross, and His forgiveness. His love and forgiveness poured out to all man even though they had unjustifiably tried, convicted, sentenced, tortured, and finally put Him to death on the cross. This Resurrection season, as we reflect on this great sacrifice and vic-tory over death, lets revive a spirit of forgiveness in our hearts toward a lost world. Let us condemn less and demonstrate Christ’s love and for-giveness to a world who desperately needs to see that In God’s people.
